A donut cushion is unlikely covered under Medicare even when ordered by a doctor. It would fall under your prescription coverage, though, so check with your company. Most of the time, just like the spacers used with inhalers, they are considered a device and not included in coverage.

Hello Automat193. There are many gray area's regarding Medicare coverage in the "Cushion Area". In many cases your physician would have to either speak with a Medicare Rep or Write for a Formulary Exception. And even at that, it can still be denied. Depending on your financial status, there may be other benefits that you qualify for. Please make sure that you read your Medicare Annual Booklet carefully. Some benefits are not often explained thoroughly. Your secondary Part D Medicare can be appealed if you have your physician helping you. I hope this was a bit helpful. Medicare is a very complex arena where many things can be overlooked even by Medicare Representatives. Good Luck to you and God Bless. Please, keep us posted and please, post again if you have further questions or concerns.
